About Thad Tilton
With over ten years of GIS experience, including four years as a GIS instructor for ESRI, Thad has taught GIS in all corners of the globe. He has held training courses in seven foreign countries and has had students from every continent (yes, even Antarctica!). He has taught students from a variety of backgrounds: among his former students are members of the FBI, Army Corps of Engineers, US Forest Service, California Department of Transportation, and several other federal and local government agencies. While at ESRI, Thad helped develop the current "Introduction to Programming ArcObjects with VBA" training course, and has delivered dozens of presentations and workshops at the annual ESRI Users Conference in San Diego California. Thad is an ESRI Authorized Instructor, a Microsoft Certified Application Developer, and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Redlands.

How does GIS mapping work on the Internet? Welcome to ArcIMSR, an integrated approach for creating and maintaining geography-based Web sites. This updated course will give a comprehensive introduction to ArcIMS and its powerful capabilities for managing the way users access and interact with Internet mapping and GIS data. Participants will learn how ArcIMS applications work, create ArcIMS Web sites, explore ArcIMS basic architecture and perform an ArcIMS installation.
